Venezuelan oil is very crude and expensive to refine. Only the US has the financial ability to actually make a profit off of it since it requires a large investment. I wonder if the US is going to undercut it's investments into Saudi Arabian oil by lowering global oil prices with a Venezuelan investment.

Global crude oil prices have been dropping ever since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Despite Russia producing quite a bit less crude oil barrels since the invasion. The oil prices dropping is beneficial for the global western economy in case of a full scale war with Iran. The war would also limit the Chinese because the Russians could sell oil to them at insane prices due to Iran, Saudi Arabia & Venezuela being their biggest oil partners. Undercutting US investments into the Saudis and investing into Venezuela could be beneficial in the long term because it could secure the most territory. This might just be a schizo theory though.
