Why is there such an uptick in lurkers? 15672 at the time of writing.
Maybe there have always been this many on weekends and I never noticed; pulled up the waybackmachine and nope.
Maybe there was a hit piece; Did my homework, couldn't find anything substantial from the past week.
Odd thing is that almost none of those 15k are looking at the most recent threads, the threads displayed on the sidebar; 2,5,6,3, in other words usual numbers.
So wtf is going on? my guess is bot activity. LLM data scrapers? who tf wants incels.is as training data. DDOS attack? doubtful, doesn't seem to be working if it is.
