Seems like Russia's tech is outdated. Just like what happened in Armenia vs Azerbaijan, Azer had all the latest drones and auto-aiming RPGs, and Armenia had all these old Russian tanks from the 80s and got their asses kicked.

It seems like Russia didn't learn anything from that and figured it would be a cakewalk.

Now they're saying something like 100,000+ soldiers (Ukraine native and foreign fighters) are coming to Ukraine's aid, and more drones and weapons are coming in every day. Russia could actually lose this, which is surreal given that on day the US was warning that Kiev could fall within days.

One idea I had was the West will also supply money to the government of the Ukraine. So within the country the government of Ukraine can pay any amount of people.

I dont know if Russian tech is outdated. What I am thinking is that Russia tried a fighting style that is not for them.
They tried Blizkrieg using rebels from those break away states in Ukraine and stuff and it just ended in a mess with abondonded tanks and chaos.
Now it seems that they are reverting back to their normal tried and trusted style of fighting. Send in tens of thousands of artillery and tanks. Use the airforce to protect the armoured columns. Wait few days to let the civilians leave. Surround the city with hundreds of thousands of troops and bomb them for 5 days none stop then clear the city with infantry.


It is like saying Russia is useless because they only have one highway between Moscow and St Petersburg but remain silent that they have an excellent rail network because the place is so massive highways make no real sense.

What I am saying is people are using American army standards to measure the Russians. Hmm could be a problem considering all factors like America has no choice but to be a naval nation with two oceans etc etc

Okay so the question is why are the convoys not getting hit by drones or are they? Do they have adequate defence systems amongst their convoys?

If so could be a solution to include fuel supply trucks amongst their convoys?

They have a limited number of drones and missiles so they don't need to take out every truck. If all their fuel trucks gets destroyed all the other vehicles will eventually run out of fuel. Same thing will happen in bumper to bumper traffic on any major highway. If everyone keeps the engine running to keep warm they will all be out of fuel in just a few days, and it's been more than a few days now.

Now the US is sending more of these Javelin handheld auto-aiming missile launchers. This article says 93% kill rate per missile fired.
