Some of us never really get to live we just watch the calendar do it for us.

What unsettles me isn't growing older. It's watching time quietly erase possibilities before I ever get to touch them. Every day that passes is another day that can never be reclaimed, another page turned with almost nothing written on it.

I have no love to look back on. No place that still carries my laughter. No memory that begins with, "Remember that day..." No chapter worth grieving because it ever existed.

And that's what haunts me. Time doesn't wait for you to start living it keeps moving anyway. One day you wake up and realize you're no longer waiting for life to begin. You're just running out of time for it to ever happen.

And somewhere in the back of my mind, the thought that life is moving closer toward its inevitable end feels terrifying, soon enough i will cease to exist to ever live it.

It's really over :cryfeels:

At least you can write your thoughts out in a interesting way.

Worst part is when you see people who treated you unfairly, people who did nothing to deserve their good fate, seeing all of them live better lives than you could imagine. Meanwhile your stuck in a limbo, having achieved nothing even if you tried to

Unfortunately (or fortunately) reincarnation is (probably) not real, if human consciousness really is a bunch of chemicals and neurotransmitters (I know that it’s really simplified but I don’t have a degree in neuroscience) then how could reincarnation be a real thing?

Also reincarnation fucking sucks as an afterlife, you could be reborn as a rich smart chad and in your next life you could become a baby crab and get devoured by your mother the nanosecond you're born, and all that without any of your past memories.

There is nothing after you die. The moment your bodily functions cease, you are gone forever and will never return.

For that you need to prove that consciousness is emergent modern science is yet to prove it we cant yet tell what causes the subjective experience in life you can surely map out the neuros which causes XYZ but that doesn't explain the cause of subjective experience why red feels red or what gives the subjective experience in life this is termed as Hard problem of consciousness by David charmers

I would say that it’s mostly life experiences and genetics, I agree though that we can’t be 100% certain until the key to consciousness has been cracked (although if the afterlife is indeed real then it’s probably something extremely weird.)

But life experience and genetics have nothing to do with the explanation of consciousness. Afterall we don't even know what's actually the real defination for consciousness.

As per Vedic philosophy Consciousness is a fundamental nature of reality and space/Time/matter arises within it

What I meant is that genetics and life experiences influence the way we perceive things
