A girl I know from school saw me walking out of the woods and asked me why i didn't just walk in the neighborhood.
I replied that I was eating a raw mushroom diet, and that id just eaten at least 30 wild mushrooms in the woods of various species.
She looked horrified. "Wild mushrooms can kill you" !!! "We need to call the squad right now"!!
"What?" I said. I feel fine. And besides I eat them from the store all the time.
"Those are a safe species"!!
After a few minutes of further describing all types of moldy multi colored mushrooms that I'd just eaten she finally figured out I was joking.
I guess I'm just a dumb blonde she said.
We both laughed.
Once a year, it's actually possible to talk to a nice enough Becky. She was friendly all through high school.
