Today he just said that not a single super rich guy can get where he is without being an apathetic callous asshole. His perspective is that each of them will have a servant or employee whose mother is dying of a failing heart which would take 50k to fix. But instead the rich dude will buy himself a 100k gold watch or something.
It's funny how much you can get away with as long as you don't use spooky words like communism or Marx. He would tell me about a medical professional he is dating, who makes around 75% of her total revenue in profits and spends hardly 25% on the grunt workers.
It does help though that he runs a business so it's easy to see the sheer cruelty of Capitalism first hand in how the older players in the field run their operations. In fact in some ways he radicalised me with those stories, only difference being I was already getting into Marx at the time.
