I like the idea of open source software and I like the fact that it is more fed proof, also I don't mind tinkering with wine for 5 hours at least I'm passively improving my terminal scripting language skills. I would recommend to jew gatescels to try mint distro in a vm sometime. Learning Linux is kinda like not sweetening your coffee, if you get used to it you cannot go back.
