The closest medieval match were medieval Poles, because of course, that doesn't require explanation, while the closest modern match were Iraqis of all people, because after centuries of Slavic women being enslaved and imported into the Middle East as sex slaves, yeah, the female-inherited DNA in some places here can definitely start resembling those in EE

Highly doubt so, the medieval samples were maybe a bit more seperate then most would expect, but the modern ones are quite similar, as are most in the region.
