The average person can't grasp how genetically determined their lives are.
We are told we can be anything we wish as long as we work hard, but that's a lie. There is no aerospace engineer with an IQ of 85 for a reason. We can only acquire skills within the limits of our potential.
Genes that contribute to musical talent run in families. Even learning languages seems to be associated with one's genes to some extent. Building muscle mass is easier for men whose genes allow them to do so. In other words, there is no gym for your genes.
Attracting sexual and romantic partners is largely dependent on genes, as little can be done about one's face, height, and race. Financial resources and social status, both attractive to women seeking providers, are correlated with higher intelligence and conscientiousness—two neuropsychological characteristics largely shaped by genes.
We are mere spectators stuck inside biological machines, popularly known as bodies, with little to no free will. We cannot wish to fulfill the biological necessity of reproducing, we cannot wish to attract sexual or romantic partners, we cannot wish to acquire more skills than our genetic potential allows, and we cannot wish to be physically and mentally healthy.
You are either born a winner or a loser in this world.
