Most people or parents in general are NPCs, but even being an NPC if your genes are good enough you just kind of subconsciously know thanks to your programming the reality of things, so you invest in looks maxxing, social maxxxing, so on. This helps you get ahead, and then you go on to use your resources and knowledge to give your kids a crucial head start over everyone else.
If you're born both ugly and with shitty genes from your shitty parents, you lose on both fronts. Once you finally realize the blackpill at late teen years like alot of people here, its too late.
When I was 19 I was cycling from being extremely depressed, rotting in bed all day long while the world is spinning from over drinking, to gymcelling in rage from how shitty my life was. Didn't help I was a dropout and couldn't find a job to help me get basic things like food to help me progress. Meanwhile, you would go on your classmates social media to see how everyone else is doing. They're all in University, partying, dating, having the time their lives while you're playing an endless game of catch up. You are decades behind in an already rigged game (genetics). If you were racing against usain bolt, and as soon as it starts he's already 20 meters ahead of you and only getting faster, would you still bother? this is why alot of people rot/rope.
