Usually you worked in the profession your dad worked in tough, in many cases even literally for him. So if he was a fisherman you too would be, if he was a blacksmith etc... plus you had a childhood foid friend you usually married. And you were religious etc... that sounds kind of like an comfy life, ngl. Your son would do the same your father did.
