B. The portrayal of emperor Macrinus being retarded and untrue and he wasnt a nog but a berber
C. The main character was boring and unintersting copy of maximus
D. The whole nonsense about numidia which was conquered btw like 200 years before the film
E. Political idiotic comparsion between rome and euro colonialism

There are lots of remakes where the new movie is much worse.

As an American, I can say that we don’t really study Roman and Greek history extensively as public school students, unless courses on that type of history are taken in high school or university.
