Venting Last night’s episode of “The Last of Us” was vERy bad. Ellie despite being born post-apocalypse knows what “Vietnam” was…

I really need to vent, last night’s episode of “The Last of Us” was idiotic.

I’m writing a summary of every scene right now, so that brocels without HBO can understand how badly HBO fucked up Season 2 Episode 2.

I’m not going to spoil anything major.

I do want to vent about one scene, that is so badly written it could make a fan of the franchise cry.

Ellie and her patrol partner (they were out on patrol) have to hide from a snowstorm in a convenience store. Despite the convenience store being comically stocked with cannabis - the episode aired on 4/20 (global smoke cannabis day) - this scene is tolerable.

The dialogue for some reason descended into idiot-level nonsense at this moment. Ellie and her partner are sitting down, warming up, and they start talking about, “Eugene.”

Eugene is the guy who found the convenience store and handled the cannabis operation. Eugene quit the Fireflies in 2010, because he was “tired of killing people.”

Ellie’s partner who looks to be around 20 years old (this is about 20 years after the apocalypse) says that Eugene had already killed enough people in “Vietnam.”

Ellie who was born after the apocalypse and is 19 years old - responds by saying, “Oh.”

How in the fuck does Ellie know what the Vietnam War is? What the fuck? Maybe, her partner who looks to be a bit older than her remembers history. Ellie was born after the apocalypse - she shouldn’t know anything about the Vietnam War!

Instead of responding, “Oh.” Ellie should have told her partner that she doesn’t know where “Vietnam is or anything about a war there.”

No matter how you try to think about it - Ellie shouldn’t respond by saying, “Oh,” when told about a conflict called, “Vietnam.”

It’s like the writers were drunk when they wrote Season 2 Episode 2.

What the fuck? Do the writers of the show expect the audience to believe FEDRA was teaching kids about the 1960’s in a post-apocalyptic world?

HBO - fuck you.

Cucked for even watching this troon show

I can't believe it's already time for a new episode of this trash show.
