Considering my line of work, I see shit like that on a daily basis really. I found it funny when I was 15, maybe, now, it's just sad.
You have no idea how it feels like to be showered from head to toe in someone else's blood; feel it coagulate on your skin; feel its warmth... and trough all that keep at bay your instinct to puke and actually carry on helping that individual. Fuck.

Well, actually, it was one of the reasons I did take up such studies and a job as a paramedic, I liked blood, gore and violence; at least I thought I did, until it gets to you.
Do that daily (well, almost, there are not always that sort of accidents) and you will see how it feels like.

Yeah, basically it is against protocols to take pictures that include people's faces, beyond that you are free to do whatever you please. I know a lot of my colleagues who do exactly that, take pictures of various traumatisms and wounds just "for memories". I never got them.
Why I chose medicine? Because it secures me a future and gives me the opportunity to do whatever I please with all the money I make; simple. That and actually helping children...
