Good point, I can't find where I read this number now. But given the low birthrates, and the many single moms for Chads and Tyrones, and Chads having serial monogamy having several families in their life, it seemed a reasonable estimate.

In my white upper middle class/upper class area less than 50% of men by far are having children in their life. Meanwhile the usual scenario of Chads doing serial monogamy having 2 or 3 families in their life, and the single moms for Chads and Tyrones, and the Chad and Stacies marriages which are successful and have a number of children.

Adding it all up it seems a reasonable estimate to me.
