Those mentioned things can and do induce positive feelings, yet they always come at the price of laborious striving and long-term dissatisfaction when their effect subsides.
On the other hand, a frugal lifestyle of simple pleasures is easily attainable and doesn't require any dependence on uncontrollable factors like society and foids.
This is also why I'm against stronger copes like drugs, alcohol and even porn/gooning. They're not necessary for a satisfactory life and they have countless adverse effects.
