Anyone here got shit grades in high school but still ended up going to college, at the very least, community?

Last question. What made you drop out?
I basically stopped doing any homework or real work since 7th grade so i got carried by my iq and language skills to even out the bad grades in classes where you have to work to get good grades. In germany there is "abitur" so a final set of exams to graduate and since i did not care i barely showed up to school, wrote my name on exams and handed them in emtpy and such. So my grades dropped to near 0 and i was below the threshold of being allowed for these final exams
But i wanted to join the military so i did not care
