Thank god Hoi 4 Old World Blues exists because anything Bethesda makes in the Fallout universe is non-canon IMO.

All the companions also all hate the legion too, except for Raul.
Ulysses from the lonesome road DLC was also going to be a companion in the original game, but got cut.
He was a unique companion who wasa member of Caesars legion.
Its kinda obvious that the devs wanted you to side with the NCR.
