The way tinder works is that a card can come up and be swiped by someone, but conversely their card might not appear in their matches deck for days, weeks, or even months depending on where you are. He could have his SLAYER pictures active in a profile for a year, then come back one day, swap his photos, and start swiping - to see what girls over that year swiped on his profile. Matches don't happen in real time - him matching with a girl is because she swiped his profile X amount of time ago, with unknown pictures.
