The artist whose paintings get nice words from strangers, but no offers from art galleries; the chef whose food is cleaned off plates, but whose restaurant remains perpetually empty; the incel who can't get a date, but people say he's handsome. It's all the same. Why can't people just tell the truth? So much of my time, effort, and money could have been spent on other things if people didn't keep giving me false praise.
