Multiple Zelda games spoiled ahead.
I grew up mostly sinking my time playing supercell mobile games and smash 4. I mained captain falcon, but played a ton of ganondorf. I had the 3rd most wins with him on for glory, and I liked link & zelda’s sweg in the game. So I was obsessed for months now with wanting to see his role in TP. As you all know, he really only shows up towards the very end, and is only mentioned more than halfway through the game. This sort of let me down because I expected it to be like wind waker or OOT ganon always showing up. However, I grew up playing phantom hourglass, and bellum was the same, so I should’ve known
. Zelda too was underwhelming in appearance.
I was expecting warlock punch, flame choke, and his up smash to be used, but no. Just sakurai creating moves out of thin air. Smh. And the dark beast ganon in ssb4 had red hair, and looked larger & beastlier if that makes sense.
When the “lord ganondorf” final battle music started, I instantly had flashbacks to ganon ssb4 montages of him doing crazy stuff, so I started laughing a little like a sperg.
I also expected the bridge of eldin to play a bigger role than just the place where Colin is saved & you pop that wheelie on epona, since it’s a stage in the wii u version. I remember a youtuber saying how ganon did something huge to the game’s plot on that bridge growing up.
I was spoiled on impa’s descendant being included, midna’s final form and the scene where zelda looks like she’s having an exorcism towards the end.
Good aesthetic, but zant sperging out way too much at the end, malo market, and something else I can’t remember at the moment didn’t seem to fit the game’s aesthetic. Nintendo can’t truly fully make a cigarette smoker badass gothic game to completely satisfy the dark aesthetic void I wanted to idolize. Idk why I expected them to. The story is based tho, because ganon seems more irrationally hate fueled than in the other games.
Idk why was Ilia set up to have a greater role than she actually did.
IMO, majoras mask was more cohesive with its aesthetic.
