'Just be yourself', 'be authentic' etc. but also 'work on yourself' which basically means to became more lovable and easy to fit with other people in soyciety.
How they don't see contradictions here?
Also, what if I'm naturally selfish and addicted to sensual pleasures? 'Becoming a better person' then means losing my authenticity...
