my grandma shared this video, although the video was made by a religious institution that makes use of the classic "sad" sounds to manipulate the viewer...I guarantee, the situation presented matches that of many.
José is 15 years old, he takes care of his sister and mother who have health problems, including diabet and heart disease. Living in an isolated area of the Brazilian desert, without access to entertainment (with internet and tv), basic sanitation and health system. Jose finds himself in a situation where he needs to do all the housework and perform all the hygienic procedures on his mother.
When he seeks the leisure activities that are common at his age, going to school is such a nightmare when he returns home. Repressed at school and victim of reprisals.
"I wanted my mother to be well and my sister not to get sick. And I wish I had a lot of friends, so we could talk, go out somewhere," says José at 3:30. He also says, "I know that there are people who have friends, but they just have the opportunity.
"In the cola nobody likes me, and I don't know why.
Obviously, as far as I can see, Joseph's case has become visible among the religious, who, if there is nothing manipulated by the religious press, must have received some help. Which does not match the situation of many who wander in the depths of the iceberg. Ghosts that everyone pretends not to see.
