A synopsis for Todd Phillips' Joker: Folie à Deux puts the focus squarely on the dangerous, whirlwind romance between Joker and Harley Quinn.

Shared by the Film & Television Industry Alliance (FTIA), the synopsis for Folie à Deux reads, "The musical sequel follows Harley Quinn the Arkham Asylum shrink who falls in love with her patient Arthur Fleck aka Joker." The production listing also states that the Joker sequel is currently stated to begin filming in less than one month's time on Nov. 5.

Joker 2 being a romance and a musical is probably the worst thing I have ever seen

I dont know what part of the original film's audience wants to see this

This version of Joker having a girlfriend doesn't make any sense, part of his backstory was his girlfriend was that he imagined a girl that way and she didn't really know him. But I always wanted a lady Gaga Harley Quinn. I think if they're going to have a joker and Harley Quinn combination at all he should be like the new 52 joker (the one jared leto was trying to emulate poorly) and he should be physically abusive toward Harley and constantly put her at risk of death without caring.

You could actually make a pretty good character arc with him being sad but desperately wanting human connection in the first film (even imagining a relationship) and then in the second film him being 100% black pilled and knowing love is not and never will be real.

Harley only likes him because of hybristophilia (look it up you don't know what it is - it happens all the fucking time). It would actually make for a great movie if he just straight up told her that she, and women like her, are the reason the whole world sucks (including sucking for women), because she's so retarded that she only likes a man after he loses hope and becomes a murderer.

I would love to see a movie where a character tells a woman that.

And yeah, he could be a villian in a batman movie. That's fine with me. It's not that I like his character, even in the first film. I'm just saying it'd be interesting and different. But hollywood only has about 4 stories they're allowed to tell. So, I presume the sequel will be about how Harley is a badass who beats up men and the Joker will be just a joke - probably a simp.
