Would it really matter if I'm not getting married in the future?

I would love to have a job as a train driver because I'm really into trains, but it doesn't pay well in my shithole country. You would live in poverty if you were married and had 3 kids with it, but it does the job and buys copes if you are single.

Either way I could finish a shitty ass and extremely difficult engineering path in this shithole which makes me wanna kill myself, but I would end up with a job that pays quiet well. It won't make me financially free but I would be able to afford a BMW and a good house.

I just want money.

Always value money. It will buy you good copes and take care of you :)

I would go with the job i love.

Which in this case is to manage a bunch of etfs. I doubt i will make too much on management fees, but it would be fun to pick stocks and put them in a basket.

But my path is becoming a tradesman, which isnt much better, but i dont hate it.

If you can make a living, then i would just drive trains tbh

Does the one I love still pay me enough to live comfortably by myself?

Yes, it will get you a decent small house and a decent car and all the copes you need. (I only need gaming and food which it can buy if I live alone forever). The other job you hate will get you a nice car (BMW for example) and a big house.

How much usd do you make as an engineer in your country

As long as the job you love can put food and copes in the table, I would go with it. I don't give a single shit about a nice car or luxury food.
My parents are my only problem now and they're fucking retarded cucks that want me to become a cucked upper middle class engineer so they can brag about their son to our retarded family.

An engineer starts with around 2K USD in my country and can go up to 4k maximum I believe. Everything is cheap here, you can buy a big ass house with only 40k usd here.
A train driver starts with 700 dollars a month and go up to 1.2K maximum. Enough to buy a decent car since they are all cheap and live in a decent cheap house.

Considering you are an aspiring engineer, sounds like you are academically gifted.
But it is probably extremely stressful.

Does train driving allow you to live decently in your country?

If i were in your shoes, i would just drive trains. Both path leads to decent copes.

But one makes you less miserable

I see. Definitely going with the one I love then, I don't need much more than that.

The system I'm in is extremely ropefuel and stressful. Only 2800 people in my country are currently in this shitty ass system that makes me wanna kill myself.
Obviously train driving allows you to live decently if you aren't married. I don't plan to be a betabux for some washed 4/10 ltb that had her shit ran by chads when she was young.

If I'm set, job I love. If I'm not, NEET

You could try both paths and see which one you like better.

Consider doing a transportation engineering path it's a bit easier (still miserable) and you can atleast work with trains, also you could do train driving for some years and It would actually add to your resume. But idk if that is an option in the shit hole you live.

job you love , to live is to have enjoyment.
