Life has in fact a purpose and that is to keep it going by reproducing. As a motal being you cannot see beyond your death so your goal in life is to impregnate a woman and have descendants. The whole "Life is meaningless" is a major cope since you are not immortal therefore life is only a temporary state for you and you are just too much of a pussy to come to terms with it.

You are confined by your mortality and the fear of death is what drives you to want to have sex and pass on your genes.
