Absolutely brutal how much people are misled in high school and become narcissistic over their IQ scores and grade school scores. They often fail very hard because they can't think for themselves, can't plan well, aren't dedicated, etc. They are addicted to praise for doing easy tasks but can't look past their textbook, have no sense for the whole or practical implications, give up very easily or become frustrated when things aren't handed to them, etc. Their main quality is bragging and being delusional. Few of those end up with a uni degree and none of them go on to do a phd, because those people have very different qualities.
