Likely because of dopamine, but it wears off with time. It has to do with the same reasons as to why people go from consuming “vanilla” porn to later consuming “hardcore” porn. Porn is the same as any other drug; you’ll need more and more, and eventually you’ll become desensitized. It's also likely even more destructive than other drugs because of how easy it is to access.
