"oishi" is delicious and "kimuchi" (actually it's kimochi) means feeling, in order to say "feels good" you have to say something like:
kimochi ga ii desu (desu and ga are grammar stuffs) and ii means good

Keep writing the characters on piece of paper.
At first it's hard but suddenly you know 500 characters, then 700, then 1000.
It's crazy how fast you can learn more characters.
The more complex characters are made of simpler characters so it's easy to remember new Kanji after certain point

I started learning Japanese back in 2014 because I mistakenly thought Kanji was just a sort of literary-tier stuff that didn't really appear in normal Japanese texts for some reason. After I learned that Kanji does appear everywhere in written Japanese, I gave up. That shit is just way too hard and unpractical for something I'd learn just as a hobby.
I could focus on just speaking it without learning to read and write but people said that would be very bad if I ever wanted to learn it the proper way, so since I don't like to entirely cross things out, I hesitated and just gave up. Shortly after I started to learn German which is easier and more useful for me since my father is German.
