Remember how Zabuza was supposed to be strong and scary? In Shippuden and Boruto he would be weaker than a little kid. It's stupid how Naruto just uses rasengan and Sasuke uses Chidori. They could change it up a bit.

I liked the war arc. Some cool battles like Might Guy vs Sage Madara and Guy, Kakashi, and Naruto vs Tobi/Obito. Original Naruto was better. Every enemy had suspense but now everyone just teleports and Naruto spams rasengan.

Naruto was pretty great the first time around. Later arcs trended downwards, but writing a popular weekly shonen seems to be the nerd equivalent of working in the coal mines, so I'm not too unhappy about it. In a sense, it's insane that these works get finished at all.

Still, parts of Shippuden suck dick. These last arcs were starting to lose me hard. If Madara wasn't as great a final villain as he was, that last war arc would have been one of the biggest disappointments in manga history tbh.

All the big dumb spectacle was dragging the story down as well. Big kaiju fights, alien space invaders, everything is a scheme inside a scheme inside a scheme, it's all so fantastical and removed from the human fates that actually give the story any sense of gravity and meaning.

She isn't a great character but she isn't bad and she's dealt with very quickly in the manga, the anime just fucked the pacing. I liked Madara's conclusion and Sasuke was always gonna be the final antagonist in the series no matter what.
