Todd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios has shut down claims that Starfield 2.0 is coming soon, but promises more news soon.

The copers thought Starfield was going to get the Cyberpunk treatment and essentially get a soft remake. But Starfield is dead. It is abandonware.

It took them like a year to add freaking maps to the game, and a vehicle. But the game is clearly not designed with a vehicle in mind, so often it is more convenient to walk on foot.l

Shattered Space was the first real chance to turn things around, but that expansion didn't expand anything. It was basically a self-contained story with no choices and no good rewards.

Bethesda knows Elder Scrolls VI is their last chance. If they screw that up, it is over for them.

Starfield is not going to get anymore significant updates. There's not going to be a ''2.0'' update and it's good they at least admit this.

Starfield is going to get one more DLC and then it's 100% done for. There are rumours about a Terran armada DLC, or a Starborn-focused DLC. But I don't have high hopes. I think it's going to be a repeat of Shattered Space.

It's over for starfieldcels. There's never going to be Starfield 2.

I think mods are pretty overrated frankly, as impressive as many of them are, they don't, and cannot, change the fundamentals of the game.

I say this as someone with like 40 mods active lmao
