I remember when I was 15 and I used to play online on a wii-u. Yes I had a fucking wii-u and I loved it at the time. And it was at my grandmas house 11 years ago as I type this. She for some reasons would always be concerend I would be in danger playing onling having the ability chat with other players online. And I never understood why but she told me that one of my online freinds could be somone trying to shoot me dead. I had no idea what the fuck she was talking about.
Then a year later, it was summer of 2016, It was 5 months after I got my own PS4. And I at the time was subscribed to a channel no longer there called reveiw tech USA. Plot twist Reveiw Tech didnt really reveiw much tech he would instead make some outrageous tech related storys from how a 14 year old girl got possessed not by a ouogi board but a ouigi board app she downloaded on her phone to how some kid got there parrents 10,000 $ in debt from buying micro transactions on a phone game to shit talking anti video game christians.
Well one story from him actually explained why my grandma was spooked at me being able to play the wii-u online. There was a story about pedos using mine craft to fish for lolis. Yes the child predators would use mine craft as a way to fish for kids for either nudes, meet up for a molesting or just simply rape maxing. So yeah I was kinda tooken by suprise when I found out that was a thing. And to add the cherry on top I found these videos of summer of 2016.
