I use arch btw

linux cultists are similar to woke crowd

I use Windows 10 (i refuse to update to Windows 11)

i use ubuntu on old thinkpad cuz easy af to use, easy af install, its for free and I dont do gaming or video editing, i just write and browse interent. Also windows 11 died on me and broke my laptop.

Eh i think theyre more gatekeepers than preachers.
they preach a lot since the 90s up to this day, same Richard Stallman narrative for the most part. All reddit, YouTube, whenever you see software,OS, gaming related topics they're there.

i used manjaro until i fucked it up
Manjaro holds packages wich is extremely retard when ur on an bleeding-edge. Years ago when i used it was always breaking so i changed to arch.

I only used Linux in VM

it's usually true. a lot of linux users are truecels coping with their operating system

I tired to use Linux for a few months. Like pure Linux never go to Windows.
It was a very bad experience.

Very sluggish and slow.
Bad and inefficient drivers.
Very VERY limited software choices.
Compatibility is a huge mess.
You have to spend a ton of time configuring things to do very basic tasks.
And most importantly and ironically it gives you much less freedom. You have to use what the repository provides you, and you have to update your packages as you are told and you can't even choose where to install a program. It's absolute nightmare and bullshit. Right now on Windows 10 I have programs that I used on Windows XP. And they still run. Try doing that on Linux. It's fucking insane even programs on the previous version of the same distro will not work on the current version.

It's like reinventing the wheel, but instead of wheel you get a square-shaped object that keeps breaking and you have to rebuild it constantly.

I tried using Linux for my desktop a handful of times, was only good for the first 30 minutes of use. Then I got to read documentation after documentation and fighting with outdated, conflicting and buggy dependencies whenever I tried to do something like listening to audio, watching a video or actually being productive.

Linux is only free is your time has no value.

Linux is basically a cope

Basically, unless you're a programmer, there's no reason to use Linux. Which is a shame because there are many positives over Windows, but the learning curve isn't worth it for 99.99%. Also, if you game at all, no.

My high IQ friends working at Big Tech all use Mac. They say Linux is only used on servers.

I'm a kodemonke, I use Mac at work. Servers are all Linux. I used to have Linux at my previous job.
Ugh, ugh-aaaargh!! That was oww-oww OK.

I use Linux but I don't know shit about Linux

This is going on @Informous profile lol

macOS is directly derived from UNIX. Linux is UNIX-like.

They need to make linux simple like Windows I don't want to pull up command prompt to install a file
