so far the only people actually using it are criminals and libertarian nutjobs. tbh i used it a couple times, once for a gambling site and once to buy sarms (only bec there was no other option), but i have to say, i see 0 advantage to using btc over a legit usd backed crypto(there isn't really one yet, but if crypto is truly the future, there will be).
There are countries having talks about adopting crypto.
Its more widely used than youd think
the question though imo is what advantage it has over a 100% backed local currency. i don't think there are any advantages, i can only think of negatives.
