Take school bullying for example, when a child gets bullied no one tries to help him, not the classmates, not the parents, even the teachers don't give a fuck even though that's literally their job, are they legitimately unaware of the mental damage getting bullied causes to a person, or do they enjoy watching literal children getting treated like shit, of course everyone will dismiss that experience, they think that your life can always begin whenever you want to even if you were literally abused by your peers and isolated, "that's okay it's still your fault for not getting over it"

that mindset of just accepting the shit that happens to you but when it's about the x thing they actually care about that mindset magically disappears
