This sort of thing where the bot is just autistic and doesn’t understand why calling a Vietnamese guy “Noodle Ninja” is derogatory happens a lot but the increasingly broad and arbitrary standards for what’s considered a microaggression nowadays makes it 100% impossible for the bot to not be problematic
There’s no way for an AI to know intuitively that using the term “women” instead of “birthing people” in any discussion about pregnancy or that making any kind of comment about black people’s hair is harmful and problematic. Especially when American university professors are inventing and enforcing hundreds of new wokeisms like this every day
In New Tales from the Borderlands there’s a quote where a character is passively aggressively/condescendingly moralizing to a pizzeria owner and says “Hey maybe cut it out with the problematic Italian accent”. This was interesting to me because it’s the first time I have ever seen Italians characterized as something akin to blacks and gays where making jokes about them is oppressive and violent and morally indefensible. 10 years ago Italians were oppressive white colonizers but now they are nonwhite victims and you can get canceled and lose your job for making a joke about Italians. How the fuck is a bot supposed to know and keep up with this
