Like the title says, its funny that there are a lot of people out there, male and female, who genuinely believe that the reason behind the rock-bottom birth rates among white westerners today are the result of a cost of living crisis, and not that women simply want little to nothing to do with most men

The poorest countries in the world have the most children, and even within countries the poorest demographics within those countries usually reproduce more

The vast majority of couples in a developed, first world country could easily raise multiple children if one partner just worked 80 hours a week and the extended family helped out with child-rearing

I'd agree that men have become infantilised today compared to previous generations of men at their age, but I'd say this issue is plaguing women too, probably even moreso than men

Also its a chicken-and-egg dilemma. If women spontaneously tomorrow woke up and decided they all wanted babies, the average man would be more than willing to set his PS5 to one side and step up to his responsibilities, whereas if the roles were reversed the average woman couldn't care less what men wanted and would continue listening to Ariana Grande and going on trips to Disneyland like a damn 13-year-old
