There was a good write up on some obscure forum I read a long time ago that analyzed Fight Club to actually be some kind of latent homosexual male fantasy or something to that effect ie basically the OP was trying to say as far as I can remember that people who just LOVED this movie are/were probably themselves homosexuals.
