apparently they didn't learn their lesson since majority of households (and hospitals) in Europe still do not have A/C installed, while Europeans continue to die from the current heatwave. Yeah it's fine. I was in Malta for 5 weeks once and it was fine.

That being said, the guesthouse I was in had a/c.

Europeans in general need to embrace a/c at least to the degree of people having it to some degree in their homes. Even having one single room nice and cool (ideally the room you sleep in I guess) can make a huge difference IMO.
