I was reading one claim that 675,000 Jews have left Israel since the war began last year. Israel had around 7.5 million Jews before the war started. That was always a big problem for Israel, is in a long war, and the state in war mode, wealthy Jews and Jews with good careers can just leave for the West. Many are dual citizens. Part of the reason they leave is for safety for their children.. the other reason is simply why live in a constant state of war, when you don't have to. Now a big country like Russia which has ~155 million people.. 675,000 people leaving would be no problem.
Another very major problem Israel has is being small in area it doesn't have strategic depth. The whole country can be hit by these precision missiles that are 80km type range. Whereas for Russia its only 80km into Russia from the frontlines which can be hit with those missiles. What the Ukrainians and Russians are doing is massing storage depots, ammunition stores, soldiers back out 100+ km from the frontlines. Then driving in supplies and soldiers as needed. Like driving in artillery shells.
Russia does have longer range stuff but that longer range stuff is expensive and the Ukrainian air defenses are improving over time. Ukraine is also just so big that it can absorb the long range hits. Most cities, let alone towns in Ukraine from week to week they don't get any missile attacks on them.
