Al-Shabbab is pretty much active in most parts of the country, and they stage hit-and-run attacks in Kenya and bordering countries as well.
ISIS in Somalia has limited control over low-populated mountainous areas by the north, sporadically clashing with AS. Sometimes, ISIS stages hit-and-run attacks in Mogadishu and surrounding towns.
