my headphones are connected to my pc directly via wire. Still get static if the charging device is near me

Idk. Sometimes the same thing happens to me with my Bluetooth headphones. It's probably just a signal, different types of waves are everywhere, something is probably interfering with your headphones.

Are you plugging directly into the headphone jack on the PC? If so, its better to use a DAC/amp instead, will help remove any interference for a cleaner connection.

FBI is trying to listen on what you're hearing.

seems legit, just didnt expect headphones being capable of picking up stuff like that

Yeah its normal and can happen with my setup, just try switching up where you're plugging in stuff with your setup, if you find it's still happening just consult chatgpt

Didn't you know that headphones can be used as makeshift radio antennas?
Well really any copper or conductive metal piece (my personal favorite has to be the fork) can pick up signals. I remember in the early 2000s when I was a kid in Romania and was super poor that we couldn't afford to repair the antenna of our home radio. So we just stuck a pair of headphones where the antenna should go and the radio was usable again.
