Just get a desktop JFL, buying a "high performance" laptop is stupid, if its not an ultrabook its not worth it

I sold mine already, I need one for work and school.

nothing heavy just coding that’s about it don’t need a crazy graphics card, the SSD is only 256GB isn’t it better to get a 1TB HD instead

The SSD will net you an overall faster performance, faster boot speeds, etc. Can you honestly say that you'll be using all 1TB of that HDD? If yes I could find another one.

Buy a $500 ultrabook and then a $1000 desktop

-when home, desktops are so much more comfortable to work at, LOL at hunching over your 15'' laptop
-if you ever need more power while working on your laptop you can always just remotely connect to your desktop (thats at least how I do it)
-video games perform much better on dekstops, some shitty M card cant compete with the equivalent dedicated desktop card
-ultrabooks can get 8+ hours on one charge easily

I second getting an SSD

My apartment room doesn’t even have room for a desk (so no comp) and I don’t really play video games. I’ll still get one for the future but I’m looking through ultra books and found out that lenovo is giving deals for Canadian universities

That's pretty much my laptop, mines just the more powerful version of that..

The touchpad doesn't work anymore and the keyboard randomly stops working too when i'm gaming (after a year)

Just get an internal ssd and store all of your files on an external hard drive

For the love of god don't buy a laptop that has a gpu and cpu from 2013 unless you are getting it for less than 300

Yeah, my go to recommendation when someone asks what laptop they should buy is an older model business laptop, thinkpads, elitebooks, and latitudes are all top-tier quality and great value

I have a thinkpad x220 and I love it, but if it was my only computer I'd go for something bigger and more modern

1.5k Jesus that's a rip off

the only good laptop is a dead laptop

Id recommend a
xps15 9560
Great design and battery life solid specs for medium gaming.

Oh. Just get something with Intel 7th or 8th gen and you will be fine. The laptop you posted has 4th gen which is ancient
