I think about this a lot, normies basically think of us like objects and not people worth being given consideration. They'll literally walk all over you, forget anything you say to them, regress into inconsiderate habits because they're so locked up in their own stories.
Our propensity to think of others as NPCs makes it sound like we are the ones who are selfish and getting locked up in OUR own stories (however depressing) but does this really come out of nowhere (ie we're just failed normies stuck in our own narratives like other normies) or is it actually just reflexively emulating the abusive behavior we witness/experience from normies (minimizing importance of others) as a way of coping with the pain we feel over being dealt with as if we were nothings, scums.
There are people who humanize pets more than they do us... they'll tiptoe around a puppy to avoid startling it, but are perfectly fine with the chronic stress they cause us by stomping around/above our resting places as if we were just a shelf.
