Yes. It doesn’t make logical sense that pain has no limit, there has to be a cap. It may be different for different people but there is definitely a limit.

If one is burned alive, then it's possible that all pain receptors get destroyed before the person is dead. So technically the person's last moments would be painless.

In a sense this is the physical limit of suffering.
