Haven't watched s2 yet but s1 was pretty good in my opinion, mainly because Oda was hands on in it so they actually had direction.

yea i think this is the problem even though the acters are working hard to make as close to the anime its just impossible to do some of the things in the anime the same in the live action.
one piece holds a special place in my heart as it helped me get through a tough time so I'm biased towards it.

allegedly its a lot better than the fallout show but that one is a 2/10 so doesnt say much
only thing i've seen from live action was zoro vs mihawk and i wanted to kill myself
