Ipsos Happiness Index 2025 seems to say India has the highest percentage of people who are "very happy", at 51%. Other sources say Scandinavian countries are the happiest. Those reports are bluepilled af.

But it's common knowledge that happy people like to brag about it and unhappy people largely keep the fact to themselves. Also, the surveys don't seem to take into account cultural differences in how "happiness" is understood
 
It would be important to know how exactly the study measured someones happiness. Simply asking someone if they are happy is not a reliable way to find that out
