Suppose that real life is an RPG. Which human race would be the default one at the character creation screen? I reckon it's the Han Chinese, simply because there are more Chinese people than any other race or nationality. If you pick any human at random, the probability of it being Chinese is higher than any other. Still, one could argue that the default human is, in fact, a white European. The modern world is by and large the product of Western civilization, so it makes sense. However, others might argue that it should be an African, since Africa is the ancestral home of homo sapiens. According to this point of view, all humans other than Sub-Saharan Africans are mere modifications of the original prototype or, in other words, the default human.
