Is Solo Leveling really that bad or people just hate it because it's shonen and normie tier

I see so many people hating on Solo Leveling but tbh every time some anime becomes popular in the most recent years, weebs say it's bad because popular = bad. I'm a weeb too btw but I am not as sectarian or hate normies that much, I just ignore them.

I was kinda interested in watching it but all the recent hate discouraged me from it. Also the fact that the source material is Korean but the anime is set in Japan and they changed character names and parts of the plot (or so I read) is also kinda shitty.

It's a generic action anime with really great animations, ost and aura farming. Watch and see how the MC destroys everyone and ends up SOLO LEVELING

People are just mad cuz frieren didn't win anime of the year, and SL won instead lols.

Didn't find solo levelling particularly clever, felt ass-pulley and the characters aren't that engaging. But would recommend if you're usually into action/shonen type

Seems like animation carries this show, it kinda reminds me of demon slayer where the story is meh but the fights are animated well.
