Is race pride kinda cope when people of your race treat you with disgust?

I get that you can feel a sense pride in your race's heritage and beauty and preserving it by marrying someone of your own race being important.

But what I have learned is that people of my ethnicity dont give a fuck about me. Even when I was attractive in my prime (late teenage years).

One party I was in, people treated me with this look:

Pride in Race, beyond the idea of preserving it, is kinda cope is it not? Specially when people can be disgusted by your appearance or demeanor.
